This ticket is for the 2020 Archibald Prize at Tweed Regional Gallery. Gallery visitors will still be required to check in via the QR code upon arrival at the Gallery.
Gallery hours: Wednesday Sunday 10.00am – 5.00pm DST.
Entry to the 2020 Archibald Prize Regional Tour exhibition is for the allotted date only and Gallery visitors wishing to return to view the exhibition on another date will be required to purchase an additional ticket.
COVID-19 capacity limits are still in place throughout the Gallery.
Please be aware that wait times for entry into the exhibition may be experienced during busy periods.
Entry to other areas of the Gallery remain free.
ABOUT THE ARCHIBALD PRIZE
The Archibald Prize is an annual exhibition eagerly anticipated by artists and audiences alike.
The Archibald Prize, first awarded in 1921, is Australias favourite art award, and one of its most prestigious. Awarded to the best portrait painting, its a whos who of Australian culture from politicians to celebrities, sporting heroes to artists.
Visit the exhibition to vote for your favourite portrait in the ANZ Peoples Choice award before voting closes on 21 February and see the work of budding artists aged 5 to 18 in the Young Archie on display in the Gallery Foyer.
For families, there are also childrens labels, a childrens trail and an activity sheet with ideas for creating your own portraits at home.
FOR GROUP BUS VISITS:
A booking agreement is essential for all groups over 10 people wishing to visit the Gallery. Bus groups arriving without a booking may not be able to enter the building under our COVID-Safe plan. In accordance with NSW Government health advice, capacity limits are currently in place. To avoid disappointment, it is strongly recommended that Archibald tickets are booked in advance. Please include a name, address and contact details of each visitor attending the Gallery.
If you book a ticket and can no longer attend, please follow the link in your booking confirmation email to manage your booking.
Please note that we are currently operating on NSW Daylight Saving Time.
Hand sanitiser is available throughout the Gallery and social distancing measures are in place.
Cloaking of large items is temporarily not available.
