CC the Cat are back on the prowl and ready to cook up a storm at one of our fave local venues the Kingscliff Beach Hotel!
Brisbane/ Gold Coast party-starters CC the Cat deliver cool, conscious reggae funk and soul music, featuring enigmatic frontwoman Claire Cottones powerful voice and anthemic songs about love, spiritual growth and freedom. The bangin 6-piece features some of the countrys best musicians, consistently proving themselves to be one of the most enduring and loved acts in the Australian roots scene. CC the Cats live show is packed with epic vocal hooks and harmonies, fat drum and bass grooves, punchy brass breakdowns, dubalicious keys, with a conscious message and a heap of fun, love and positive energy.
CC the Cat have toured Australia extensively for over 10 years, rocking festival crowds at Woodford Folk Festival, Island Vibe Festival, Nannup Festival, Byron Bay Falls Festival, Surfers Paradise Festival, Mullum Music Festival, Earth Frequency Festival, Nimbin Roots, and countless more stages across the nation. The band features Stevie Buchanan (Bullhorn) on trumpet, Ange Gadd (One Dragon Two Dragon) on trombone, Rohan Seekers (Bearfoot) on keys, CCs sister Julia Rose (Alysha Brilla) on bass, and newest member Dave Watts on drums. Between them members have played nearly every festival stage in Australia. Together, they are a musical force to be reckoned with.
