Official Opening & In Conversation event with artist Ben Quilty & Nick Mitzevich, Director of the NGA, hosted by the Gallery Foundation.
Join artist Ben Quilty and Nick Mitzevich, Director of the National Gallery of Australia for a night of conversation to celebrate the opening of At Home: Margaret Olley & Ben Quilty.
At Home: Margaret Olley & Ben Quilty is a sublime collection of recent still life paintings by Ben Quilty alongside still lifes and interiors by Margaret Olley, from the latter half of her extraordinary career.
Spend an evening with Ben and Nick as they explore Ben’s dynamic practice, his unlikely friendship with Margaret Olley and the impact of COVID-19 lockdowns on his subject matter and painting.
Delicious refreshments will be served and the 2019 Ben Quilty publication will be available to purchase at the Gallery Shop for a book-signing opportunity with the artist.
