KiaOra!

Ko Abikgail Taku Ingua.

I am a Waikato Tainui descendant from Hawaiki Nui Aotearoa, with ancestral ties to Matariki ( seven sisters), the first Maori Woman, our Earth Mother and carry IO Kaupapa ( Creator)

I Facilitate kaitiakitanga to Te Taiao (Environment) as Tangata whenua.

As Tangata Whenua, I share with you Ancestral knowledge of our Earth mother, as passed down to me by my Kaumatua (Maori Elders)

I facilitate a guided grounding moving meditation & breathwork to connect with Mauri Ora ( life force energy ) a state in which you experience flourishing.

I was taught that the life principle or Mauri of the forest, tree or Water could be concentrated into a Clay stone or other object for protection. For this I use Karakia ( prayer ) we will be working with Clay to create a ‘Mauri Stone’

The Mauri Stone is considered to be a symbolic spiritual foundation stone on which Kaitiakitanga will stand. It is representative of the past history of the land, the Mauri (life force) and the important work that will be conducted in it’s resting place of the future.

We Maori protect people and places and prepare them to receive mana.

Each attendee is encouraged to first go through a silent, whole-body, water purification plunge with a live water source prior and as close to arrival as possible, such as Te Moana (ocean) or Te Awa (river / creek) to strengthen the Mauri (life force energy) that bonds the spiritual and physical bodies (Our Celestial and Terrestrial Selves) as a single living entity. Permanently establishing oneness of thought, harmony, purpose, bliss and well-being.

*Held in the upstairs area of Natural and Healthy 4life Wellness centre, Main Street of Murwillumbah in Minjungbal country.

Please arrive 15 mins before (Workshop runs from 10:30- 12:30)

I acknowledge and extend my eternal Aroha – my love, compassion, empathy, understanding and respect to the traditional Custodians of Country across the 3 realms of land, Sea, sky. I thank the Kingitanga, Tohunga Matakite’s of the ancient priesthood & Kaumatua of my homeland alongside Country Elders, past, present and emerging for their continued presence, guidance and wisdom.
