This is an offering to support your community to come together to share the ‘Unity’ in comm-Unity and to share the experience we have collectively been through.
Bring calm to the stretched nervous system of your body and the larger community system.
Restore health and calm through expressing emotions, creative journaling, physical storytelling and sharing listening and supporting each other.
1.5 hours with an opening welcome then mindful somatic movement for restoring the nervous system and dancing as a community.
1-2 hours of creative journaling, physical storytelling, and small group sharing.
Completing with a closing meditation and the opportunity to chat some more over a cuppa and afternoon tea.
Virginia is a somatic psychotherapist and dance movement therapist with experience supporting people recover from trauma. She is drawn to support this community to recover and rebuild, recognising the community that has built through this experience and celebrating surviving in strength. An opportunity to express grief, share gratitude, shed emotions, give support to each other in one heartfelt expression. These processes are guided and supported processes that are organically formed in community.
Zerina is completing her Masters of Creative Arts Therapy (Dance). She is a qualified yoga teacher, co founder and Director of The Bollywood Sisters and has facilitated and performed dance extensively at home and overseas. She has a passion for connecting communities and individuals through dance and movement, and has a special interest in trauma informed movement practices.
