Back for its 5th year, the Murwillumbah Arts Trail will play host to 90 artists, creatives and collectives who will present their works at various venues across Murwillumbah from Friday November 20 to Sunday November 22.
The quaint town of Murwillumbah in north-eastern New South Wales will be transformed into an art-lovers haven, showcasing contemporary artfrom some of the regionsmost talentedartists. The trail will guidevisitors across Murwillumbah, at sites such as Proudfoots Lane, MArts Precinct, The Citadel, Johnny Francos, Caldera Wildscapes Gallery, Gallery DownTown and the Tweed Regional Art Gallery.
Visitorscan take time discovering art, meeting the creators and engaging with the works on their journey as well as take part in workshops, demonstrations and activities. Highlights of the program include performances fromyouth group Doublemask Theatre,artist talks and presentations and local studios and pop-up spaces showcasing all types of art including painting, textiles, sculpture, woodturning, pastels, glass and steel art and site-inspired art.
Theres a bunch ofartists, makers, crafters, musicians, poets, storytellers andcreatives helping to make the trail its biggest one yet, with group exhibitions includingCaldera Wildscapes Gallery, Murwillumbah Potters Group, Take Five, Farrants Hill Collective and Creative Glass Guild of Queensland.
