Details

Join The City of Gold Coast as they pay respects and reflect on the reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. On the national day of mourning, they encourage Gold Coasters to walk a portion of the Jubilee Walkway. At twilight they will pay tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with a live orchestra performance at Queen Elizabeth Park in Coolangatta. Condolence books to honour the life of her Majesty The Queen will be available to sign, which will be sent to Buckingham Palace and archived by the Commonwealth. Floral tributes are welcomed at any of the Jubilee Walkway signs or in Queen Elizabeth Park on this day, we ask that all wrapping is removed from the tributes, so they are compostable. The Royal Family have noted that instead of leaving floral tributes, Australians may wish to consider making a donation to a charity of their choice. Take a bus to McLean Street or make your journey active and walk, ride, scoot or skate to Queen Elizabeth Park, Coolangatta. For more information visit City of Gold Coast website or search Queen Elizabeth II Commemoration on Facebook.
