Celebrating 30 years – a feast of amazing artists and musical flavours. Vibrant chamber music in the beautiful, historic Tyalgum community hall. Unique musical encounters throughout the village, amongst nature, surrounded by stunning mountain ranges. Music around every corner. Thirty years ago, concert violinists Carmel Kaine and John Willison fell under the acoustic spell of the Tyalgum Literary Institute. Since then numerous artists have ranked the 1908 hall alongside some of the best acoustic concert venues in the world. The Festival program features some of Australia’s finest professional and emerging classical musicians and will include the performance of commissioned new works premiered at the Tyalgum Festival, works by Australian composers and repertoire interweaving the history of the piano. Also included is a vibrant fringe program highlighting Music, Art and Nature in Australia’s Green Cauldron.
