Tweed Heads

The region’s namesake is an ideal combination of fishing and river cruising, world-famous waves and an evolving café culture. Bordering Queensland, Tweed Heads is the boat access point from the sea to the Tweed River, and from here you can book a river cruise or surf lesson, hire a boat or take a SUP, kayak or canoe paddle. There’s a choice of shopping, from boutique to surf and clothing brands, or you can catch a film, grab a bite riverside or opt for fishing on the Tweed River.

We wish to acknowledge the Ngandowal and Minyungbal speaking people of the Bundjalung Country, in particular the Goodjinburra, Tul-gi-gin and Moorung – Moobah clans, as being the traditional owners and custodians of the land and waters within the Tweed Shire boundaries. We also acknowledge and respect the Tweed Aboriginal community’s right to speak for its Country and to care for its traditional Country in accordance with its lores, customs and traditions.
