It's Time: Ease Back into the Tweed's Food Scene

We’ve loved supporting the Tweed’s incredible eateries over the past little while by enjoying their tasty menus from the comfort of home and, with some easing of restrictions coming our way from Friday 15 May, we’re really looking forward to some seated dining at our favourite local restaurants and cafes. Ease Back into the Tweed’s Food Scene.

Here’s the low-down on just some of the places where you can head out for a meal from today in line with the current state of play:

Fins in Kingscliff is offering 1.5 hour sittings for 10 dine-in patrons for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays from 5pm as well as lunch on Saturdays from 1pm. Enjoy a three-course meal from a reduced a la carte menu, which will change each week, for $77pp.

Spice Den in Casuarina taking bookings for an exclusive table of 10 each Friday, Saturday and Sunday night for dinner.

House of Gabriel in Tumbulgum is cooking up wood fired pizzas for both dine-in and take home from 5pm till 8pm.

Mavis’s Kitchen in Mount Warning will be serving a set menu for three 1.5 hour sittings of 10 people for lunch on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays (from Friday 22 May) and also kicking off a breakfast service with a coffee cart and bacon and egg rolls.

JuJu’s in Murwillumbah is continuing with tasty takeaways but also plan to be opening for 10 people at a time on Saturday.

Pandanus Cafe in Cabarita Beach is open from this Friday for breakfast, lunch and dinner with full menu available for just 10 people at a time with reservations required for dinner.

Xenia Casuarina is open from Friday with a special welcome back banquet in the restaurant for a maximum 10 people per sitting and bookings required.

Kathmandu Kitchen in Kingscliff are intending to open for two 1.5 hour sittings of ten people from about 5pm on Friday. Their takeaway, online ordering and delivery services are also still running. For the moment, there will be no BYO.

Inky Squid Terranora

Crystal Creek Estate is excited to re-open to their normal trading hours but with cafe seating limited to 10 people at a time. They’ll be open 7 days per week for cafe and nursery needs

Cubby Bakehouse will have their lush garden area open for 10 people at a time and their delectable takeaways will still be available from inside the shop.

Next Door Espresso in Tweed Heads can now seat coffee-lovers but only outdoors with seating for 10 people under the winter morning sunshine.

Ben’s Patisserie in Murwillumbah are popping two small tables outside for now and will have their takeaway goodness continuing.

Potager in Carool will resume in-house lunches for a maximum of 10 people from with bookings made in advance via their website. Take a seat on the covered deck to enjoy the winter sunshine and a delicious lunch from 12pm on Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Dinner remains a takeaway option for now, from 4.30-7.30pm on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sundays.

Potager at Carool

Soco in Kingscliff will have five tables for two people and they’re also continuing  takeaway dinner offerings including their popular Curry nights on Wednesday and Saturday.

Shiny Brew in Kingscliff is opening for breakfast and lunch goodness with inside and outside tables and takeaway on offer too.

Dulcie & Edna at Banora Point are excited to welcome back 10 people at a time for dine-in breakfast and lunch from this Friday with takeaway coffee and eats still on offer. Opening from Tuesdays to Sundays.

Bastion Lane Espresso in Uki will have stools inside and outside for people to perch on and reconnect over coffee.

Other openings include Tweed Valley Whey in Burringbar and the Salt Village French Patisserie and we’re sure there’ll be more opening their doors soon and dressing their tables for 10 as the days roll on.
