A Kingscliff institution since 1993, Choux Box Cafe is known for its relaxed vibe, tempting brekkies and decadent cakes. 3. Mockingbird Café

With its leafy courtyard and wholesome menu, Mockingbird Café is a hidden gem and Kingscliff’s only garden cafe. Discover a pottery studio meets coffee shop at Crockd Studios Kingscliff (formerly Stone Studio) at the northern end of the Kingscliff esplanade. This unique art + coffee spot combines creativity with café culture, using locally roasted blend, Therefore Coffee. Sip on a rich and smooth latte while exploring their upcoming pottery workshops and crunching on a fresh and flaky morning croissant.

5. Georges Deli

Shop 3, 106 Marine Parade, Kingscliff

Still new on the scene but already a strong crowd favourite, George’s Deli brings Filipino flair to the Kingscliff cafe scene. Expect an all-day menu of unmissable sandwiches and burgers, a tantalising selection of house-baked breakfast rolls and handmade doughnuts that will change your life. For first-timers, the Chicken Joe – fried chicken, cheddar, jalapeno ranch and iceberg lettuce on a milk bun – is a must. Note: this menu is total Instagram gold!

6. Zanzibar Café

A sweet local cafe serving tried and true breakfast favourites with a little Italian pizzaz, QROMA is loved by all. Try the ‘romelette’, an omelette with ham, spinach, spanish onion, mushroom and mozzarella, and be sure to add a hashbrown on the side. And of course, you can expect that the coffee here is buonissimo!

For coffee connoisseurs and breakfast lovers, don’t miss Shiny Brew, with perfectly brewed organic coffee and mouthwatering smashed avo with halloumi, all just 100m from South Kingscliff Beach. Pop in after a morning beach walk or swim to try our current menu crush: Apple Pie French Toast – spiced French toast served with warm apple compote and a dollop of whipped cream and ice-cream.

Pop into Farm & Co for breakfast and find the farm store stocked with just-picked fresh veggies, direct from the farm. Relax and enjoy the fresh air with a barista-made coffee and a bite from the well-stocked cabinet, like homemade chocolate muffins or a farm-fresh veggie quiche. Don’t forget to stock up on locally grown produce for home before you head off.
