Tweed Shire Council is the largest Council on the north coast of New South Wales, delivering more than 50 services to 94,000 residents to manage growth sustainably, create opportunity and enhance the value of civic and natural assets. Council contracts the region’s tourism operations to the Tweed Tourism Company, funding approved tourism marketing and development initiatives as outlined in the Tweed Tourism Company Destination Management Plan.

Destination North Coast (DNC) is one of six Destination Networks formed by Destination NSW to deliver on the NSW Government objective to double the Visitor Economy by 2020. DNC coordinates and supports the sustainable management and development of tourism from the Tweed region to Tea Gardens/Hawks Nest in the south and encompasses 14 local government areas.

Destination NSW is the lead government agency for the tourism and major events in New South Wales (NSW). Its role is to work with the six Destination Networks to market Sydney and NSW as one of the world’s premier tourism and major events destinations with the goal of doubling expenditure within the State’s visitor economy by 2020.

The Northern Rivers NSW Brand has been developed through a collaboration of regional partners, including key business, industry and government representatives.

The Northern Rivers NSW Brand represents the whole of the Northern Rivers region, from Tweed in the north to Grafton in the south, Casino and Kyogle in the west and east to the coast through Lismore to Ballina and Byron.

The Northern Rivers NSW brand aims to unite and share the values of the region, its place and its people, and its regional story.

Northern Rivers Food

Northern Rivers Food (NRF) is a not-for-profit member based group supporting the local food industry in the Northern Rivers region with regular events, workshops and networking opportunities. Members of NRF must conduct a food business that supports the use of local produce and food services.

Supported by the NSW Business Chamber, the Tweed region has three active local chambers that actively support the business community and provide networking opportunities.
