My name is Ella and I’m 14years old.
I had some lumps in my neck and went to the doctor who did a blood test, a few days later the doctor said I needed to see a specialist and ran some tests and that same day it came back that I had cancer.
Within 2 weeks of finding out I had cancer I started chemotherapy and was told cancer was in my neck both sides, arm pits, one lung, kidney and spleen.
I have stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
The outlook for me is good but I am told the journey to get there is meant to take its toll on me and my body.
Everyone in my world is positive and we are big believers in telling the truth of the situation.
This is not easy, first round has already been rough.
6th September 2024 I start round 2 of my intensive chemotherapy.
I don’t see myself as being sick with cancer. I see myself as having cancer. It’s something I WILL get through. Mum calls me her warrior but that is embarrassing also.
Cancer is just a word, Stage 4 is only a number.
I’m so grateful for our family friend Fliss and her family putting this together to support me along with our amazing community so I can get a gourmet kind of wig that resembles more of who I actually am during this process when I will lose all my hair and whatever else may arise.
Thank you so much for loving and supporting me & my family.
So grateful!
