RORY SWITZER

Rory Switzer is a Gold Coast based musician. Since migrating from Toronto in 2010 the Canadian-turned-Aussie has been steadily honing his craft as a performer.

With humble beginnings as a busker in Surfers Paradise, Rory quickly found himself swept off the street by local shop owners wanting to liven up their venues with his bright sounds & charisma.

As his reach & repertoire grew, Rory progressed from local cafes & bars to booking private events (Melbourne Cup, Christmas luncheons) where he gained the nuanced know-how for working larger, more sophisticated crowds.

Fast forward to 2023, Rory has made his mark as an accomplished performer, expanding his scope as a recording artist (Loose Leaf, Yes Sir Noceur), musical therapist, corporate jingle writer and most notably, wedding performer.

“As soon as the last note rung out (on my first ceremony performance), I knew I had found my calling”.

Rory can pick from a vast array of song genres to suit any occasion. Blending his voice with acoustic & electric instruments, he can create stripped back intimate moments, and in the next breath, weave a variety of sounds to create the vibe of a full band to suit any occasion.
