About

Come along for tour of Fingal head, also known as Booninybah, by Fingal Head Coastcare to hear about how they have worked hard to care for and restore this beautiful site. You will be taken on a journey of the nursery, remnant rainforest and headland by knowledgeable guides, and share in morning tea and lunch with the volunteers.

Fingal Head Coastcare Inc. is a voluntary community group which, since 1986, has been restoring flora and fauna habitat including littoral rainforest, coastal woodlands, wetlands and dunal vegetation which had been destroyed by sand mining in the 1950’s and 60’s, & have won over 80 local, state and national awards since 1990.

Come along to meet the regular volunteers and find out how you can become involved, or join one or more of our Tweed Care groups.

Limited parking, please carpool if possible.

Generally rough and sandy ground but part of some sites are wheelchair accessible.
