Banaam deliver a highly practical workshop that will develop your indigenous cultural intelligence.

Tweed Shire Council is committed to developing staffs’ knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities. Indigenous culture recognise the primary importance of relationships and offering every individual a sense of their relationship to community and country.

These fundamental principles are dynamically taught in this immersive training experience. The Banaam team deliver unique and highly practical information to build a foundation of knowledge and skills essential to developing advanced cultural intelligence, cross-cultural competence and community engagement.

Banaam training provides a lens through which to view all relationships within the cultural framework, enhancing engagement between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the broader Australian community.

This is an ELT corporate initiative for all staff to attend based on recommendations from the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Management Plan.
