Cane Toad Tadpole Trapping and Info Session – hosted by Tweed Shire Council and Watergum

Watergum’s Cane Toad Trapping program is coming to the Tweed at Murwillumbah Services Club!

Tweed Shire Council has partnered with not-for-profit community environment group Watergum to bring cane toad control to the Tweed this season.

Learn how to trap tadpoles by the thousand and rid your properties of toads to contribute to the neighbourhood eradication of this pest species.

Cane toads are highly toxic at every life stage. This presents significant danger to pets, wildlife and agriculture. The plague is spreading at an alarming rate and we need to work together to reduce their numbers and reclaim our properties and natural areas.

Join us on Thursday 23rd March at 6:30 pm (NSW time) at the Murwillumbah Services Club to learn how to trap tadpoles on your properties, toad-proof your water-bodies and more.

Our new and improved tadpole traps and lures will be available to purchase at the event!

Food will be available to purchase from the Services Club. Enjoy your meal and beverage while listening to the presentation.

This event is run in partnership with the Tweed Shire Council.

Spaces are limited so please REGISTER!

Let’s make a difference, let’s impact cane toads!
