Join us for a farm walk and talk at Tweed Valley Whey Farmhouse Cheeses dairy farm about their farming and sustainability practices

Join Council’s Sustainable Agriculture Program team and farmers Rob and Sue Harnett for a farm walk and talk on their dairy farm.

Join us in the paddock and hear from Rob and Sue about the farm’s sustainability initiatives including the strategies for managing pasture health, the release of a new winter-active species of dung beetle and take a look at their recent riparian planting along Burringbar Creek.

The event is part Council’s commitment to working together with the community to reduce our impact on the natural environment in the Tweed.

The event is aimed at local graziers who are actively farming in the Tweed.

It is part of a series of events to celebrate Local Government Week.

The event will take place around the farm and in the paddock – please bring a hat, sturdy shoes and water.
