Moments of great musical beauty and deep love for music and its traditions makes seeing and hearing them live a moving and transformative experience. Beautiful renderings of melodies interwoven with captivating improvisations. This is the show you want to catch!

This is the cello as you have never heard it before. Cello player and composer Ilse de Ziah takes traditional melodies and gives them a deep transformation: Sometimes rock ballad, sometimes irresistibly foot stomping, sometimes haunting; her show is utterly captivating and moreish. Through it all her vibrant personality carries you along and transports you to a magic emerald musical landscape. You will not want it to end!

Ilse will be joined on stage by internationally renowned acoustic guitar virtuoso, Ian Date.

Ian has worked with all the names in Australian jazz, such as James Morrison, Don Burrows and countless other and appeared on more than seventy albums as a sideman or a leader. Ian is highly regarded as a performer and guitarist. “If he’s performing, seize the opportunity to see and hear one of Australia’s finest guitarists.” (Hank Marvin, The Shadows)

He has collaborated with guitarists such as Tommy Emmanuel, Martin Taylor and Robin Nolan and is the Patron of the annual Oz Manouche festival.

Between them they have played all over Europe, USA, Asia and Sth Africa. Written for film and television, performed at festivals and theatres. Solo to full Orchestras. Their musical journey is deep and broad. From the influence of living in Ireland for many years to being influenced by gypsy musicians of Holland. There are a lot of ingredients in the mix!

This is a perfect way to spend some time on a Sunday afternoon. Ride your bike to the venue on the rail trail, walk or drive. It’s a wonderful venue with plenty of space to park right there.
