Running a successful business requires more than just knowledge of the industry – good HR practices are essential to maintaining an organised, productive and happy team.

In this workshop, we’ll explore how building a strong framework for your human resources functions can ensure that your business stays competitive in today’s ever-changing landscape. Get acquainted with the essentials of HR to ensure your business is up to date with all necessary documents and procedures for managing employees. Gain a better understanding of the foundations that are needed in any successful workplace. 

Karen Hillen from “My HR Partner” will help you create a Human Resources framework to ensure your business thrives. Karen is a HR consultant and helps local businesses solve their HR issues – from pay rates, contracts and policies. My HR Partner makes your business life easier and gives you a helping hand in managing the functions that support the people in your business.

The Entrepreneurship Facilitator Services is an initiative of the Australian Government. The program aims to promote opportunities in self-employment and support business through assistance in starting, surviving and growing your business. Sourdough Business Pathways is one of 23 Entrepreneurship Providers across Australia supporting anyone wanting to start their own business or who already run a micro-business.

These sessions are free for eligible clients who are starting a business or who run a micro business (with less than 4 staff). Sourdough Business Pathways are the Entrepreneurship Facilitator for the Region of Richmond-Tweed (Tweed Heads) providing workshops, mentoring, networking opportunities and one-to-one facilitator sessions across the Byron Bay and Tweed regions. Our support extends as far north as Tweed Heads and south to Lennox Head and Bangalow.
