Leo Sayer and Joe Camilleri’s Big Birthday Bash

The first time Leo Sayer and Joe Camilleri met, they knew they had a lot in common. It was almost as though they were … twins. The two musical legends were born on the same day almost 75 years ago and, although born on complete opposite sides of the world, formed a special bond through music.

To celebrate their cosmic connection, Leo and Joe have created a unique concert, bringing together their greatest hits, plus a toe-tapping array of musical tributes to the idols of their formative years. The show will traverse both artists’ careers – from Leo’s early life as Harmonica Gerry in the underground blues clubs of London and Joe’s teeth-cutting in Melbourne’s burgeoning pub-rock scene, through to their individual success in the spotlight. Leo and Joe’s Big Birthday Bash will see performances from both Joe Camilleri & The Black Sorrows and Leo Sayer and his full touring band, plus a massive finale with all of the musicians playing tribute to their musical heroes across the genres of rhythm and blues, soul and reggae.
