Strand Fest is here to tickle your taste buds and challenge your creativity with free in-centre workshops inspired by Italy, Japan and America running from September 2-18. If you’re craving sushi and are keen to try your hand at Origami, join the paper folding masters at O’Sushi with the Origami 101 workshop on September 3 and 4. On Friday September 9, those inspired by the Italian way of life are invited to take a load off, chow down on some arancini balls and enjoy some live acoustic music at Little Cooly. Prefer some classic, American-inspired meats? Join the legends at Salt and Smoke on Friday September 9 and 16, and learn how to best marinade meat with the help of condiment kings – Bunny Chow Down!

Is your sweet tooth feeling a little left out? Baskin Robbins has you covered on September 10 and 11 with a free sketch and sip class. Here, you can get creative and be inspired by European landscapes, all while treating your taste buds to some scoops and shakes from Baskin Robbins. All of this creativity will no doubt work up a thirst. Thankfully, 4 Pines is pouring ice-cold beers and walking you through the brewing process on Saturday September 17. To finish off the bounty of events, the Strand Fest Finale takes place on Sunday September 18 with food samples from your favourite retailers, free kids’ face painting and live music!

Workshops aside, you also have the chance to win one of the weekly $100 gift cards and the major $1000 prize! To enter, spend $25 or more in the centre during Strand Fest and collect a stamp on your Strand Fest Passport. Once you have collected four stamps, pop your Passport in the barrel for a chance to win.
