Here’s some important information for Event Only Patrons to read before driving to Splendour in the Grass

TRAVELLING BY CAR

In order to minimise the number of private vehicles travelling to and from the festival, we need to encourage car-pooling as much as possible. As one of the ways to encourage ride sharing, we will be requiring all vehicles entering the site to carry a pre-purchased Vehicle Pass.

Patrons with Event only tickets (no camping) wishing to drive their vehicle to the event and park will be required to pre purchase a Day Parking Pass for the days they intend to use the North Byron Parklands Day Car Park. Please note: 1 x Day Parking Pass is required per vehicle for EACH day you wish to park in the North Byron Parklands Day Car Park.

The Day Car Park will be open 10:00am-2:00am on Friday 22, Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 July.

The Day Car Park will NOT be open on Wednesday 20 or Thursday 21 July.

PARKING

The North Byron Parklands Day Car Park is located off Tweed Valley Way, Yelgun. Please follow signage and directions of traffic control staff.

Event only ticketholders wishing to drive to the festival and use the North Byron Parklands Day Car Park MUST first pre purchase a Day Parking Pass. There will be a limit on the number of passes made available for each day.

Event only ticketholders cannot drive to the site prior to Friday 22 July, although 3 day ticket holders may travel to the festival by bus on Thursday 21 July. Bus information can be found here.

Vehicles may not be left in the Day Car Park overnight and sleeping in vehicles in the Day Car Park is strictly prohibited. Any vehicles that are left in the Car Park overnight MUST be removed by 2:00am or further parking fees will apply or your vehicle may be towed off the property.

All North Byron Parklands Car Parks are No Alcohol zones.

Do not park in surrounding streets or roads, especially in any residential areas. Special Event Parking restrictions will be in place on surrounding roads. Fines will apply for illegal parking.

Council rangers will be on the lookout for illegal camping or people sleeping in cars. Fines apply! Maximum penalty exceeds $1,000.

DELIVERY OF TICKETS

Day Parking Passes will be emailed to you as electronic PDF tickets. You will be required to print this ticket off and place it on the dashboard of your vehicle on the driver’s side. Please have your Vehicle Pass in place well before arriving at North Byron Parklands so that this is easily visible to traffic controllers and staff.

RIDESHARING

Ridesharing or public transport is a great way to help the environment, reduce traffic congestion and make new road trip friends. Check out ‘Transport and Travel’ for bus info.
