This workshop provides an insight of how to respond to and empower clients who are distressed, overwhelmed, reactive or have shut down.

Were you involved in the 2022 floods and/or local recovery effort? Do you still feel affected by your experiences? Do you need information and/or support?

This workshop, offered by Tweed Shire Council, will provide free professional development training around resilience, psychological safety at work, trauma/vicarious trauma and empowerment through the Xfactor Collective.

The trauma topic will be:

Empowering Distressed Clients – responding to and empowering clients who are distressed, overwhelmed, reactive or shut down due to traumatic incidents such as floods.

The Xfactor Collective is a Northern Rivers based charity specialising in social sector wellbeing and resilience. Face-to-face training is facilitated by trauma psychologist, Adam Blanch.

About your trainer

Adam Blanch – trauma specialist has delivered trainings to staff and volunteers from hundreds of not-for-profit and community organisations around Australia including more than 50 organisations in the Northern Rivers.

Adam is a trauma psychologist, lives in the Northern Rivers, and knows first-hand the impact of natural disasters on rural and regional communities.

Lunch will be provided.
