The Travelling Film Festival returns to Murwillumbah, with a stellar program of only the most captivating and vibrant Australian and international films straight from this year’s Sydney Film Festival! Opening the Festival is Australian director Macario De Souza’s 6 Festivals, an emotional tale of friendship between three teenagers who throw themeslves into a whirlwind of music festivals in an attempt to escape reality. Shot at actual festivals and featuring various iconic artists, including Dune Rats, G Flip, Bless n Eso, B Wise, Peking Duk, Ruby Fields and more, 6 Festivals is a moving love letter to young friendship and the life-altering power of live music. Highlights of the program include We are still here, an unparalleled First Nations celebration, interweaving eight powerful stories by ten directors from Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific; and Broker, starring winner of Cannes Best Actor Song Kang-ho (Parasite, 2019), a delightful tender Korean drama by Kore-eda Hirokazu (Shoplifters, 2018).
