Details

One of the final events for the week will be a NAIDOC March beginning at Tweed Heads Civic Centre and marching towards Twin Towns, where the NSW Mob will meet up with the QLD Mob to unite and march to Jack Evans Boat Harbour. There will be a corroboree in the park with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Dancers, speeches and a sausage sizzle cooked by Momentum Collective. This is the culmination of a great week of events and is a highlight where everyone is invited to unite and walk as one mob. The Tweed NAIDOC Committee, the Gold Coast Committee, Tweed Byron Local Aboriginal Land Council, Tweed Aboriginal Co-op, Kalwun, Canowindra, Wollumbin Aboriginal Education Consultative Group, Stingrays Sports Corporation and Tweed Shire Council would like to thank all participants for their ongoing support.

Get up! Stand Up! Show Up! With us to amplify our voices and narrow the gap between aspiration and reality, good intent and outcome.

Tweed Heads NAIDOC Committee have worked hard with our partners to ensure there are events throughout the week to engage all aspects of the community.
