This is a 4-week immersion to Yoga in Slings! The course is held on Wednesdays in August 2nd, 9th, 16th & 30th, at 6pm.
Each class we focus on the different themes of traditional sling yoga asanas deepening your practice. As we gradually progress, you will find a greater ability to focus on correct alignment and intension.
As the sling takes some or all of your body weight, we tend to go to a whole new level with core stability and strength, comfort circles, trust and surrender. This practice allows you to generate body heat, develop flexibility, create strength and enhance body awareness. The many benefits of inversions are so much more accessible in a sling and so much fun!
Each week we focus on a specific theme;
• August 2nd, Heart space
~ When we work with a sling it all begins with an open heart space. Deep breaths and deep streches go together and it’s the key in backbends which we learn lots in this class.
• August 9th, Hips
~ Pelvic area holds our biggest muscles. It is also where we get to release stuck energy. Add the sling and you will feel the benefits of open hip flexors and hamstrings.
• August 16th, Balance
~ A class dedicated to the duality of yoga, Hatha Yoga. In this class we play with the opposite energies to lenghten muscles and to realign your body and mind. You discover techniques to improve balance and find a new level of stability and grounding.
• August 30th, Trust
~ This class is about putting everything that you have learned together and moving into a deeper intension and trust in your practice. We’ll go through variations to add more depth.
Suitable for every body. This is not acrobatics.

If you need to, please allow at least 48 hours cancellation notice prior to the first session. Late cancellation of a scheduled session made without 48 hours notice will result in a cancellation fee equal to the cost of the course. Individual classes are non-refundable.
