Details

From May 4 until June 12, head down to Husk Farm Distillery in Tumbulgum and take a wander through the inaugural outdoor exhibition Sculpture Distilled.

This incredible outdoor sculpture competition allows you to get up close and personal with the work of nine contemporary artists from the Northern Rivers and Gold Coast. The exhibition is curated by Annie Long and addresses a range of themes, including development, the impact of plastics on the environment, Australian fauna, time and stillness. These thought-provoking sculptures are scattered around Husk Distillery’s beautiful grounds. So, grab a drink, take a walk and be inspired by the artist’s captivating creations. You’re also welcome to book a table at Husk, where you can enjoy a gin tasting and a delicious bite to eat.

There will also be two special events as part of the festival – opening night on Saturday May 14, and artist talks on Saturday May 28. Opening night is a ticketed event that includes an Ink Gin cocktail on arrival, light grazing nibbles and a welcome by festival director Natasha Edwards. The artist talks is a free event running from 4:00 – 6:00 pm, where the artists will join a panel to discuss their work and the value of public art.
